Our Alocasia Mix is formulated to balance those needs for indoor container growing. Coco coir and sphagnum moss help maintain consistent moisture, while pine bark, coco husk, perlite, and pumice create air space and drainage around the roots. Horticultural charcoal helps maintain an open, well-structured mix, while worm castings add organic matter and gentle nutrition.

Suggested Watering

Check the mix regularly rather than following a fixed schedule. Water when the top 1–2 inches of the mix have begun to dry, then water thoroughly until excess water drains from the pot.

Alocasias prefer consistent moisture but should never remain soggy or sit in standing water. During winter or periods of slower growth, allow more time between waterings and reduce watering as needed.
