Our live duckweed is farm-raised and grown indoors at Blooming Faith Farm. It is grown in dedicated, isolated tubs rather than collected from ponds, lakes, or natural waterways.
Duckweed is a fast-growing floating freshwater plant that can be used in aquariums, ponds, grow-out systems, and as a natural food source for many aquatic animals.

📦 What You Will Receive
You will receive a portion of live duckweed carefully harvested and packaged for shipment.
Our portions are packaged in cups by volume. Duckweed is a living aquatic plant, so the exact weight and appearance may vary slightly depending on moisture content and growing conditions.
1 oz Cup — Approximately 0.4 oz fresh duckweed
2 oz Cup — Approximately 0.9 oz fresh duckweed
4 oz Cup — Approximately 1.75 oz fresh duckweed
Duckweed may arrive somewhat compressed, pale, or yellowish after shipping. This can happen after spending time in a dark package and does not necessarily mean the plants are unhealthy. Once placed in appropriate light and water, healthy duckweed should begin recovering.

💧 How to Use
Simply float the duckweed on the surface of clean freshwater.
Provide adequate light and nutrients for continued growth. Duckweed reproduces quickly under favorable conditions, so remove excess plants as needed to prevent complete surface coverage.
For aquariums, keep enough open surface area for proper gas exchange and the needs of your fish.

📦 Shipping & Arrival
Live plants are sensitive to temperature and shipping conditions. We carefully package duckweed to help maintain moisture and protect the plants during transit.
Please consider the weather at both our location and your location before ordering.
During periods of extreme heat or cold, shipping may affect the condition of live duckweed.
Please bring your package indoors as soon as possible after delivery. Do not leave live plants sitting outside in extreme heat or cold.
⚠️ Live Arrival / DOA Policy
Because duckweed is a live plant, occasional shipping damage can occur.
If your duckweed arrives dead or significantly damaged, please contact us through our store within 2 hours of delivery.
Please provide:
- Clear photos of the duckweed
- A photo of the packaging
- Your order information
Photos taken promptly after delivery help us determine what happened during shipping and allow us to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Please do not discard the duckweed or packaging until we have had an opportunity to review the photos.
We will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution when there is a legitimate shipping-related problem.

Extreme temperatures can affect live duckweed during shipping.
If temperatures in your area are unusually hot or cold, please consider waiting for more favorable weather before ordering.
We cannot control conditions encountered by a package after it leaves our farm, including delivery delays, exposure to extreme temperatures, or packages being left outdoors.

- Provide appropriate light.
- Give the plants time to recover from shipping.
- Remove damaged or decaying material if necessary.
- As the duckweed grows, harvest excess plants regularly.
Under good conditions, duckweed can multiply rapidly.
